Max Verstappen’s F1 feud with the FIA over his choice words is driving fans into a frenzy. Ahead of the Singapore GP, Verstappen was hit with an “obligation to accomplish some work of public interest” after dropping an expletive about his RB20.
His blunt description of the car as “f***ed” when discussing his struggles at the Azerbaijan GP during a press conference didn’t sit well with the FIA.

President Mohammed Ben Sulayem had already called for cleaner language on air, warning that F1 drivers are “role models.” But Verstappen? He’s not here for it. When asked about the FIA’s decision post-FP2, the Dutchman gave a simple response, “no words”.
Fans, however, have turned the situation into an online meme storm. Some are joking that Max might end up with a “swear jar” fine next time he opens his mouth, while others are designing mock T-shirts with his infamous RB20 comment front and centre. One fan on Twitter even suggested Verstappen should star in his own “PG-13” F1 series.

The controversy comes after the FIA also slapped warnings on team bosses Toto Wolff and Frederic Vasseur last year for their salty language in Las Vegas.
