The McLaren Artura has added another accolade to its list, having been awarded Performance Car of the Year at the 2025 Auto Express New Car Awards, held in London.
Judged by a panel from one of the UK’s most established automotive publications, the Artura was recognised for its blend of high-performance capability and everyday usability.

Central to the judges’ decision was the performance of its 3.0-litre V6 hybrid powertrain, praised for offering strong acceleration as well as all-electric, near-silent driving in urban settings.

Auto Express highlighted the Artura’s “beautifully balanced” chassis, along with the responsiveness of its electro-hydraulic steering system. The ride quality and interior design were also noted, with the cabin being described as a “masterclass” in ergonomics.

In their verdict, the judging panel called the Artura “one of the most usable supercars ever created,” adding that it delivered the kind of feedback and engagement drivers expect from a McLaren, while remaining suitable for daily driving.

The award follows other recent recognition for the model. The Artura was named Britain’s Best Drivers’ Car at the 2025 Autocar Awards, and the Artura Spider was selected as Sports Car of the Year by Sunday Times Driving in 2024.
