Gordon Murray Special Vehicles (GMSV) has debuted its first two models during Monterey Car Week in California – a pair of supercars paying tribute to the marque’s celebrated Le Mans history.
Positioned alongside Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA), which produces limited-run, hand-built road cars, GMSV will instead focus on one-off commissions, heritage continuations and ultra-low-volume specials.

The new brand sets out to highlight Professor Murray’s design ethos, blending exclusivity with driver-focused engineering. The US launch introduced the company’s initial offerings from both the SV Design and Bespoke lines, each inspired by Murray’s passion for endurance racing and the iconic 1995 Le Mans victory.
GMSV S1 LM

The first commission to be completed by GMSV is the S1 LM. Its name – ‘S1’ standing for ‘Special One’ – references both its customer-driven origin and Murray’s mid-1990s Le Mans triumph.
Visually, the car channels the spirit of that race-winning machine, adopting new carbon fibre bodywork, a reduced roofline and an aerodynamics package developed specifically for the model. A front splitter, rear diffuser and dual-element rear wing combine to deliver serious downforce, while Le Mans-inspired lighting integrates into the flowing surfaces.

At the heart of the S1 LM sits a bespoke 4.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 producing over 700 PS. Revving to 12,100 rpm, the engine has been engineered with lighter components, increased displacement and a higher compression ratio to maximise response and performance. Exhaust gases exit through four central pipes, with heat shielding finished in 18-carat gold foil – a nod to Murray’s attention to detail.

Power is delivered through a six-speed manual gearbox derived from the T.50s, tuned for short, precise shifts. Bespoke suspension with revised geometry and lowered ride height aims to deliver sharp, connected handling, with the engine mounted solidly to the chassis to heighten driver feedback.

Inside, the S1 LM maintains Murray’s trademark central driving position within a lightweight, minimalist cabin. Materials and construction have been carefully selected to balance motorsport precision with bespoke craftsmanship. Only five examples of the road-legal S1 LM will be built by GMSV Bespoke, with first deliveries due in 2026.
Professor Gordon Murray, Group Executive Chairman, commented: “I love timeless design. I never want us to join the race to make the most outrageous looking supercar at expense of balance, beauty and proportion. Look at the result, the car is timeless and beautiful.”
GMSV Le Mans GTR

Alongside the S1 LM, GMSV also revealed the Le Mans GTR. The design draws inspiration from Murray’s own longtail endurance racers and other legendary longtail machines of the 1970s through to the 1990s, such as the Matra-Simca MS660, Porsche 917 and Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/3.
The GTR adopts these influences while establishing its own identity through SV Design’s styling language, combined with aerodynamics developed firmly with performance in mind.

Exiting between the twin-tunnel diffuser, the Le Mans GTR double exhaust is engineered to deliver a deep and balanced V12 soundtrack, while the roof-mounted ram-air intake adds to the orchestral cabin experience as owners explore the full 12,100 rpm rev range.
A limited series of just 24 GMSV Le Mans GTR supercars will be built, one for every hour of the famous race. Development is already underway with the first customer production cars set for completion in 2026. In collaboration with Joe Macari Performance Cars, GMSV paired each model with its owner. All Le Mans GTR supercars are sold, prices are undisclosed.
