Charles Leclerc was left red-faced after smashing his £300,000 Ferrari Purosangue into another car in traffic in Monaco. Hot off his big win at the Italian GP, the F1 star has been brought back to planet earth with the unfortunate smash.
TikTok footage, shared all over social media on Thursday, shows the moment Leclerc drives into the back of a black car while navigating the road. “I just got him hitting the guy’s car! I am so weak,” the person behind the camera quips.

Video clips include the crushing sound of Leclerc’s car crumbling into the SUV in front as he looks over the dash to assess the damage. It doesn’t appear anyone was injured in the fender bender or if Charles swapped details with the driver.
It’s only 30 seconds, but the now viral TikTok has shown most of the action, with Charles’ friend shrugging his shoulders at the crash. The smash involved Charles’ personal car which he bought from Ferrari at home in Monte Carlo.

The smash comes straight after his win at Monza, with Charles telling the media after his win, “It is an incredible feeling. I thought the second time, if there was a second time, would not feel as special as the first, but the emotions over the last few laps were the same. I want to win Monza and Monaco every year and I have managed to do to. It is so, so special.”
LeClerc, who also won the Monaco Grand Prix in May, said at the time: “We shouldn’t rely on the race we have just done. And as a team, it’s really important for us that once we come back at the factory, we reset from everything that has happened during the weekend. Monza is a very specific track. We have been very strong this weekend, but Baku will be maybe very different and Singapore again very different. So we’ve got to reset.”
