In Driven+’s latest video, the YouTuber compares two very different Range Rovers: the classic L322 and the modern, high-tech L460.
While the L322, once a flagship of luxury and off-road prowess, is now available for as little as £2000 due to years of depreciation, the L460 comes with a significantly higher price tag and state-of-the-art technology.

This comparison explores whether the older L322 can still hold its own against the newer, far more expensive L460, especially when it comes to comfort, performance, features, and off-road capability.
The L322, first introduced in 2002, was a hallmark of luxury. Despite its age, it still offers a refined ride, solid build quality, and a commanding presence on the road. For those willing to pick up a used model, you get a spacious, leather-clad interior, an imposing V8 engine (depending on the variant), and genuine off-road capability.
At around £2000, it offers a level of luxury that’s hard to beat for the price. However, the L322 lacks modern tech like a digital cockpit, adaptive cruise control, or the cutting-edge infotainment systems found in newer vehicles.

On the flip side, the L460 represents the pinnacle of Range Rover’s evolution. With a higher price point comes a wealth of advanced features: semi-autonomous driving modes, a much more sophisticated infotainment system, and a smoother, more refined driving experience. The ride is quieter, the handling is sharper, and the technology is light-years ahead.
However, Driven+ makes a strong case that the L322 still has plenty to offer, especially for buyers looking for a more affordable way into the world of luxury SUVs. The L460 may be an advanced machine, but the L322 holds up remarkably well, providing solid comfort and off-road capabilities for a fraction of the cost. Ultimately, it’s about whether the extra luxury and tech of the L460 justify the steep premium, or if the L322 remains a better value for those on a budget.
